Women’s Wellbeing Event in Cremorne Brings Practical Advice to Military Road

A women’s wellbeing event is heading to Cremorne on Sunday 1 November. One Spirit Energy will host the evening from 5pm to 7pm. Tickets cost $65, and places are limited.

The event brings together three speakers with different backgrounds. Each one will focus on a different part of wellbeing. Nutrition, body awareness and relaxation all feature on the program.

For local women, the session offers a chance to hear practical ideas close to home. It also gives people a space to ask questions and learn from the speakers directly.

Angela Emmerton on food and midlife change

Angela Emmerton, from Nutritional Matters, will open the night with Midlife Matters. Her talk looks at how hormonal changes from the 40s can affect food needs.

She says many women respond by eating less or cutting foods out. Instead, she will talk about common food myths and three food groups many women miss. She will also share simple ways to add them back into daily meals.

Angela’s background sits behind the talk. Her public profile says she worked in corporate roles before moving into clinical nutrition. Today, she works as a clinical nutritionist, herbalist and wellbeing speaker.

That experience shapes the way she speaks about health. Her focus stays on practical changes and everyday habits.

Polly Wilkie on body awareness

Dr Polly Wilkie will then take the conversation in a different direction. She has more than 30 years of clinical experience across chiropractic, osteopathy and nutrition. She is also the director of Care Clinic Bondi Junction.

Her work focuses on paediatric and women’s health, along with the physical, biochemical and emotional parts of wellbeing. For this event, she will speak about body awareness, stress and physical signals.

That kind of message can matter at any age. It encourages people to notice what their bodies are saying and respond earlier.

Judy Lovas on relaxation skills

Dr Judy Lovas will round out the evening with a talk on relaxation. The event page describes her as Australia’s expert in evidence-based relaxation therapy. It also notes her PhD from the University of Sydney.

Her session will cover simple relaxation skills and their use in daily life. The event page links her work to stress, trauma, anxiety, pain, depression, sleep disorders and chronic inflammatory conditions.

That gives the talk a practical purpose. It points to tools people can use beyond the room itself.

A local evening with a clear purpose

The event is set for One Spirit Energy on Military Road in Cremorne. That local setting gives the evening a community feel. It also keeps the focus on accessible health information rather than jargon.

Organisers say the evening will give attendees a chance to learn, ask questions and discover something new about their wellbeing. That is a straightforward promise, and it suits the format well.

In a suburb that stays busy, an evening like this may appeal to women who want clear information and a calmer pace. The women’s wellbeing event brings those ideas together in one place.
